I loved yesterday.

It felt so good to just let it all hang out.  And to be supported on top of that? Dang.  I’m one lucky girl.  🙂 Thank you for all your kind words.

If you follow me on twitter, you might have noticed that I was posting pictures of everything I ate yesterday.  I think that’s going to be the new plan, at least for a while. It’s nice to be kept accountable every once in a while.  I figured that twitter is a better platform to do this on, too.  I don’t have the time to be taking pretty pictures of my food, much less uploading, and creating a blog post for every meal.  Through using Twitter, I can grab a quick shot with my phone and send it immediately.  I downloaded a photo editing app on my ancient crackberry, so hopefully the pictures won’t be too displeasing to the eye.  SO, if you are curious to see what a Future RD eats on a day to day basis, follow me yo.

On the workout front, I always do better when I have a goal, so I spent a little time trying to find a race to get me motivated.  And I think I found one!  The Winthrop Half Marathon on June 10th!

Ever heard of Winthrop? No? Didn’t think so. It’s a teeny, tiny little town (way smaller than Wenatchee) in the midst of the Cascade Mountains.


Yeah. Hellooo, gorgeous.  This is Sun Mountain Lodge.  I’ve only been there once when I was young, but it was amazing!  It’s the kind of place that doesn’t put TVs in the rooms.  I’m totally okay with that.

I was considering doing the full, but decided that the half is for me.  Since my last half, I’ve taken a little time off of running and I’m not sure if I’d be ready to tackle 26.2 miles.  To be honest, I got a little burnt out and needed to switch up my workout routine.  Plus, I certainly didn’t have the hours to devote.  I’m totally digging the June 10th date though.  If I start my training plan 12 weeks before the race, this quarter (AKA the craziest school schedule of my life) will be over, and I’ll be easing into my SUPER relaxed senior spring quarter (!!!).  Perfect for the amount of time I want to devote to running the best half of my life.  PLUS it’s all downhill! What what! Sub 1:30 marathon? It may be a possibility! On top of all this, it will be my very first race in WASHINGTON! Can you believe it?  I’m beyond excited.

In unrelated news, the search feature on Pinterest seems to be down.  Does anyone else notice that site has lots of annoying, technical issues?

Oh, Pinterest, you know I never will.
